Hiking the Ancient Rock of Sigiriya & Visiting a Cave Temple.
Sigiriya and Dambulla Cave Temple are the most popular. Dominated by a massive column of rock nearly 200 meters (660 feet) high, Sigiriya is a site of historical and archaeological significance. Sigiriya contains (A) ruins of an upper palace located on the flat top of the rock, (B) a mid-level terrace that includes the Lion Gate and a mirror wall with frescoes, (C) lower palaces located behind lavish gardens, and (D) moats and ramparts. The Dambulla Cave Temple is composed of five caves, which have been converted into shrine rooms. A Tooth Temple, Royal Botanical Gardens, a Tea Factory Viewing & a Very Scenic Drive.
starts with a guided tour of Kandy’s key attraction, the Temple of the Tooth. Since ancient times, this temple has played an important role in local politics. After exploring it, we are given a guided tour at Kandy’s second most popular attraction, the Royal Botanical Gardens. Best known for its collection of orchids, these gardens attract around two million visitors annually. The Royal Botanical Gardens are home to more than 4,000 species of plants, including spices and palm trees. After walking around these gardens, we can purchase lunch. After our meal, we are provided with a guided walking tour around town.
Travelling to Nuwara Eliya which is called Little England.
Nuwara Eliya - The Little England of Sri Lanka, is set against beautiful backdrops of Mountains, Valleys, Waterfalls and Tea Plantations. It is supposed to be one of the coldest places on the island, but is really just like an England spring day although the temperature does drop at night. All around Nuwara Eliya you will see evidence of the British influence. Houses are like country cottages or Queen Ann style mansions.

Yala is a haven for Fauna both indigenous and migrant. Bird concentrations are by the Lagoons/Salvers. Here are thousands of Flamingoes, Assemblies of spotted Billed Pelicans, Spoonbills, Cormorants and various species of Herons. Pheasants, Pea Fowl, Peacocks and the Wild Fowls are found in hundreds. Wild Buffalo and herds of wild Elephants are a common sight. Whether it is birds or animals you have them all at Yala.
After breakfast transfer to Galle for the beach stay, en route do a city tour of Galle.
Galle - is considered to be one of Sri Lanka's most historically interesting towns. Built on a premonitory rock in the south of the Island. It was a major port until about 100 years, but today still handles shipping and sailing boats in the natural harbor.
Stroll around the Lighthouse and harbor or visit the old town where you can see the traditional lace makers and wood carvers. An Opportunity to purchase some the finest shell-craft souvenirs in the world.
Be dropped at the airport having at least 2 hours to the time of departure. Leave with lots of happy memories to cherish.
